Purfresh Introduces New Water Purification System for Bottlers

Integrated Ozone Generator and Informatics System Serves the Growing Private Label and Independent Bottling Market with Optimal Pricing and Performance

Fremont, Calif. – July 22, 2008 – Purfresh, a leading provider of clean science-based solutions for food and water, today introduced a new ozone generator – designed for small-to mid-scale bottling operations – expanding its Purfresh Water family of products. The new compact ozone generator adds to the company’s growing line of water purification products, which serve beverage bottlers, pharmaceutical companies and personal care product manufacturers.  The new system is a completely self-contained generator equipped with Purfresh’s informatics service, Intellipur, which provides remote real-time monitoring capabilities and safety controls for operational flexibility and automated closed-loop control response.

“Purfresh focuses on developing solutions that enable the highest levels of product safety and quality while minimizing the equipment and operational costs associated with rigorous safety,” said David Cope, president and CEO of Purfresh.  “The new Purfresh aqueous generator is ideally suited for the needs of private-label bottlers, the largest sector in the bottling market by revenue in the U.S., and it is also getting attention from other product manufacturers that depend upon pure and reliable water.”

This new addition to the Purfresh Water family offers a compact design, a 24x24x11 cabinet, while delivering industry-leading concentrations of ozone. The generator is completely self-contained including air preparation, oxygen concentration, ozone generation, distribution, and closed-loop PLC-based control and communication. Air cooled and with an integrated air preparation sub-system, Purfresh’s new system avoids the need for extra machinery and piping that comes with incomplete water-cooled alternatives. Additionally, the system is engineered to optimize power utilization and maintain quiet operation while providing unparalleled consistency and efficiency. Communication links can easily be established to Purfresh’s Intellipur informatics service or directly to a plant’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system on-site.

“Our private label customers and small scale bottlers are always looking for a competitive edge in operations,” said Gregory Collier, engineering support manager of DSI Process Systems. “This new system is a cost-effective option that comes with Purfresh’s unique monitoring and control capabilities. We expect this system to live up to the performance we’ve come to expect from Purfresh and could be the solution a smaller bottler needs to compete with larger bottlers.”
